Consider Your Audience
- Use the social media that your audience uses
- Being consistent on social media can help you build trust with your audience as they get to know you and your products / services better
- Come to the party with a gift, not an ask. Give value to your audience
- Pay attention to what your audience likes, pay attention to how that changes over time so you can keep up with it
- Find where your audience is and stick to that one platform. Get consistent with it before you think about spending time on other platforms as well
Be Yourself
- You can still be yourself on any social media platform
- Think outside the box with social media, think of something you’re really good at already and apply it to your social media
- Find a way to use social media that feels good to you. You don’t have to follow what everyone else is doing, find your own way to be authentic and you will find the right audience
- You can create your own platform if you use something like High Level which has a membership area
Search Engine Optimization
- Your content on YouTube needs to be search engine optimized
- You can’t just upload a video and hope for the best, you have to optimize the title, the description and the captions
Stay On Top Of Things
- Be willing to do what’s necessary, whether that’s learning how to use the platform yourself or hiring someone who knows the platform well and can helps you get more success out of it
- Keep an eye on the most downloaded apps in the app store or google play store. It’s a great way to see up and coming platforms
